Summary

  • Keep canonical last-check and last-apply history visible when systemd units unload, bounded journal evidence expires, or the system reboots. Preserve exact-identity contradiction checks and keep legacy classification separate.
  • Remove bundled update-status SVGs, the private icon theme path, and custom applying bitmap. Request the C++-equivalent desktop theme names while preserving the application/window icon. Applying uses unrotated themed update-none.
  • Drain GUI updates every 100 ms, read status every 250 ms, and poll systemd every 500 ms while Details is visible, returning to ten-second polling when hidden. Retain one active query and one coalesced pending refresh.
  • Preserve log scrolling and cached projection during status-only refreshes; new output still follows normally.
  • Resolve Details by its D-Bus menu label in the native geometry smoke test instead of a stale positional menu ID.

Verification

  • Rust all-target tests passed with default features and with --no-default-features.
  • Rust edition-2024 formatting, shell syntax checks, and git diff --check passed.
  • Nix aarch64-linux checks passed: tray-rust-package, tray-rust-no-default-tests, tray-rust-package-audit, tray-rust-desktop-smoke, and tray-rust-details-geometry-smoke.
  • Nix checks used nixpkgs c043004d1c6985732bcc1cbc5a9c9aecbbb4e0f0.
  • Read-only live-status projection recovered canonical history with no loaded units or journal evidence.
  • Clippy -D warnings is not clean on the base: both base and candidate report the same 12 diagnostics; no new diagnostics were introduced.
